Japanese Garden

Today we took Beatrice to get closer to her zen side at the Portland Japanese Garden. The raincoat turned out to be precautionary rather than necessary & the leaves were stunning.

Beatrice on wheels

Some may have doubted whether the onslaught of rain & autumn is a good time to try out a bike trailer. The answer is - its as good a time as any! May not have it all figured out just yet, but here's what we've got going on so far. And no one fell out during the trial run. (Note to those that may be considering attaching a Schwinn bike trailer - I highly suggest that you download the more legible directions off the Instep website in advance...sheesh). 

Game days

Another autumnal tradition recently embraced is watching football on Sundays with Daddy. This often includes (but is not limited to) the Steelers & a drink. 

Corn maze & Pumpkin picking

Today we went back to Sauvie Island, this time with an autumn-oriented mission, & our friend Paul. First, we went through the Corn Maze, but Bea got hungry. After a quick snack of mostly carmel apples, we reoriented ourselves in search of our perfect Halloween pumpkin. After watching someone else's kid steal someone else's candy corn we found our pumpkins, of course, for under $4. But try as she might, Beatrice cannot yet dead-lift 10+ lbs.
