1st Mushroom Hunt

Maddy, Mommy & Bea took to the Tillamook Forest on Friday in hopes of foraging fine fungi. It hasn't been all too rainy this week so pickings were slim. We also realized that we should only pick what we know (Chantrelles) & not just ones that look pretty. Please take a moment to also marvel at Aunt Maddy's new camera phone.

1st Flower Girl

Our good friend Jeff & Elizabeth made it legal at the end of September during our finally warm weekend of the year. There were about 100 extremely adorable/professional photos taken of these three flower girls at Laurelhurst Park. But here are my less-professional ones. Dresses by Kate Towers.

1st REAL Farm experience

Recently Mommy's been chatting with a couple fine folks at our neighborhood farmer's market & was invited to tour one in particular. Yep, we actually got to meet the chickens that give us our eggs.

1st In-Store (show w/Ted Leo)

Its Musicfest NW time once again (& finally summery outside). There are way to many all-ages shows to stop parents in this town from exposing their young to rock at an early age. Though she is quite found of regularly stating, "This is rock & roll" & "That's a kick drum," I swear we aren't trying to pressure her. We did have to remind her that Ted Leo was the one who sings two of her favorite songs when mid-set she blurted, "Is he gonna keep singing?", but that's beside the point.
